I figure I should update this beast of a journal, and share some recent events! 1) Tomorrow is my birthday! I'll be 19, and it will be glorious! Going for dinner with my mum, and hopefully having some celebrations over the next couple weeks :) 2) I've been so extremely busy recently. I've hardly had time to work on anything! Worked on the little dungeon crawler for a bit today. Using some resources at roguelikedevelopment.org, I managed to put together a basic Line of Sight system. Seems to work pretty well too! Here's the low-down on how it all works: The player (or any other unit that requires sight) has some code that describes where in the map it is currently sitting (Using the XY coordinate system). From this point on the level, we cast "rays" in 360 degrees around the player. Here's a quick image of how this works: Every tile that the ray touches without being blocked is noted as being "visible" by the player. When the player leaves the sight of a tile,
